MB Jr has won 15 million in lottery last year and he is here with us for a heart to heart chat about his new life. As per his attorney’s request, he would not reveal his identity. He goes by his initials MB Jr.  Team OKIEDOKS wishes him all the very best for his life.

1)   Tell us something about yourself

I am a 42 year old second generation Mexican living here in Utah, United States. I am a hairdresser cum online sales executive.

2)   Tell us about your lottery win

Nothing special as such. I play lottery since the last 9 years and I play the same numbers since 7 and a half years and last year won around 15 million dollars in lottery via state lotteries

3)   That’s awesome. What do you think is lottery? Does your family know that you play lottery

As I had promised myself, I have stopped playing after I hit the jackpot. My wife knows it but never knew that I play every week. Believe me, her first reaction wasn’t about happiness but she knows the importance of money. Also, as we cannot have kids of our own, we have decided to adopt 2 children. Lottery is destiny, god’s way of telling you that anything can happen in this world.

4)   How was your family’s reaction.

My father didn’t like the fact that I play lottery but he along with my wife checked the numbers many times. My parents thanked god . My mother cried when she came to know about the win.  

5)   Wow!!  So you always thought that you would win a lottery?

Every lottery player thinks that way.

6)   What is this about playing the same numbers. Anything superstitious?

I used my fathers, mother, Stella’s (wife), Martha’s (wife’s sister) and her parents’ birthdays as numbers. I always felt that using the same numbers is a better possibility than using random numbers

8)   What was your first reaction when you saw your matching numbers?

I saw the numbers online and compared it with my ticket. I checked the numbers at least 100 times before telling Stella. I thanked god and took my family out for dinner. The feeling is awesome, my heart beat was more than normal for at least around 4-5 hours after my numbers matched. The results were out by Thursday night, and I checked the results only on Friday evening . so the whole of Friday, I wasn’t aware that I had won 15 million dollars. One more thing – I had a very bad day on Friday so matching the numbers was a pleasant surprise.

9)   Did you take any precaution before claiming the numbers.

As per my wife’s insistence, I photo-copied the ticket and then submitted it for verification.

10) What do the lottery officials check while giving the prize? How is the process followed?

It takes some time before they hand over the money. They give us many options of taking the money. Also, it is difficult for people on parole or people involved in any anti-social cases to claim the money. The officials had come to my house for confirmation as well.

11)15 million $ is a big amount. What would you do?

I won’t get the money all at once, as I have agreed to get a million each year. We have almost finalized adopting to orphan children. I want to start my own fitness center in Hawaii. We want to visit Mexico city, Philippines, China, India, Egypt and Paris.  

12) Any message to readers of our website or anyone in particular?

I liked the name of your website – Okiedoks. India is a wonderful country and I have heard only good things about it. Someday, I would come to visit bollywood and the Taj Mahal.
