I have written a number of books on legal subjects which have been published and are quite popular among the law students.
Q2. When did you realize the writer in you? How did you nurture your writing abilities?
Ans 2.—well I have been writing since the age of 19 but never thought of publishing my writings. It was just as a hobby and for personal satisfaction. I used to write poems and short stories at that time. Later on I concentrated mainly on writing law books. I have written three books on law subjects which have been published and are quite popular among the law students. Well you can say that writing came to me naturally by the grace of God.
Q3. Not many writers start with self-help book. How much of your life’s experiences have been molded in your book?
Ans 3—‘Stop not till the goal is reached’ is totally based on my experiences of life, the big lessons which I have learnt from the small incidents of life. It is based on the incidents which I had encountered in trains, buses, colleges, market places etc. This is the reason why most of the readers have told me that they could relate or connect themselves with the incidents mentioned in the book and the incidents touched their hearts. Life is the greatest teacher and I have recorded the teachings of ‘Life’ in this book.
Q4. There are many self-help books which dabble into impractical solutions; how different is your book from best seller like ---- “you can win”
Ans4. The uniqueness of my book “Stop not till the goal is reached” lies in its practical approach. Since it is based on the small and simple incidents of life, readers can connect themselves with it. The book endeavours to solve our day to day problems through practical tips. Moreover the book has an amazing collection of inspirational quotes and real-life stories of great personalities to guide the readers in their journey of life. It aims to motivate the readers to dream and enable them to convert their dream into reality. Another unique feature of this book is its simplicity and honest approach to the problems of life.
Q5 Who do you look upto in the self help category of writer?
Ans5 Well, I always look upto the writings of Swami Vivekananda. I think “The complete works of Swami Vivekananda” must be read by everybody. I have also loved the books written by Robin Sharma, Shiv Khera and Dale Carnegie. In fact, I look upto all the writers in the self help category. This is because everyone has something new to offer and you can always learn something new from these books.
Q6. How long did you take to write the manuscript? How long did the publishing part take? Could you share the experience of getting the book published with our readers?
Ans6. Well I have a habit of recording the incidents of the day at night before going to sleep. This I do on daily basis. I just jot down those incidents from which I have learnt some lessons. This I have been doing since my college days. When I thought of writing “stop not till the goal is reached” I just had to go through these jottings and compile them in systematic way. It took around three months to compile my recorded incidents in chapter form. Once the manuscript was ready I sent a chapter to Mr. S.K Roy of Pustak Mahal. He said that he liked the style of my writing and asked me to send the whole manuscript. After a few days he confirmed that Pustak Mahal is going to publish the book. The entire process took around two months.
Q7 how much is the writer involved in the publishing aspect, like cover designing, aesthetic aspects etc. Does the writer have a say?
Ans.7. Yeah definitely, the writer can give his suggestions regarding the cover design etc. But since the Publishing Houses have experts on these aspects, they are in better position to determine the appropriate cover design etc. But surely the writer can give his views and suggestions. In fact, I had left it totally to the publishers to design the cover and believe me they have done an excellent job. In fact the readers have highly appreciated the cover design of “Stop not till the goal is reached”
Q8. Which writer has influenced you most? Which book do you suggest for the folks who have just dipped in the writing world?
Ans8. I have been influenced the most by the writings of Swami Vivekananda. The letters of Swami Vivekananda are so rich in its language, philosophy and practical tips that it continues to inspire generation after generation. I also intend to write a sequel to “Stop not till the goal is reached” since I have received a good response from the readers.
