How would you sum up your journey as a model/actor from ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha
Hain’ days till date?
Well the journey has been very exciting with lot of twists and turns
as I made certain great decisions and certain not so great decisions.. (But
then I never was lucky to have Salman khan as my boyfriend ).. So in short, a
great experience which has become my greatest teacher till date. (And the
journey continues as I love acting and its not a part time vehicle for me
to get married to rich bachelors )...
Big boss is generally associated with controversial celebrities, so why did
we find Payal there?
Yes big boss as a reality show plays with human mind as there is
no strenuous tasks involved but just mind games.. People love watching the
insights into the minds of the others, its a normal human trait. About my
participation - I was approached for Fear factor 1 but could not
do it due to family reasons but had good relations with the production house
so they approached me again for big boss season 2..
If given a chance, is there any role in a Hollywood/Bollywood movie, which
you would love to do?
I would love to work with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Aktar setup and
also vishal bhardwaj as these makers are making new generation cinema. Lets
see what comes my way as right now am busy doing theatre workshop..
If you would want to sum up your life with a quote, what would it be?
Well, we sum up our lives only when we are in an award function receiving the Life Time achievement Award... so for me there is a long time to go
As you were a part of the series ‘RAAZ pichle janam ka’ on television, have
your thoughts about reincarnation changed?
I always believed in life after death and the karma cycle so for me Raaz
was going through the experience of figuring out the various layers of human
mind. I had read 'Many lives many masters' and was curious to witness the
past life regression technique so i went on the show but technically I guess
one shall take more sessions to actually witness past life more accurately
Modeling, acting, or television? Any reasons for your choice?
Modeling happened by default as I was a part of Femina miss india
contest and soon Films followed.. However, I guess I figured the passion for
acting after being few films old and television is a very recent endeavour, I
have participated in.. But I guess every medium has its own charm and
reaching ability plus working techniques...So I enjoy all 3..

That Payal Rohatgi is a computer engineer; she is a family loving girl
and she has the potential of being a great actor..
Kindly let us know about your upcoming projects and about any social
cause which you support.
I am going through scripts as now only quality matters, not stupid projects. And I am actively involved with an NGO that works for rehabilitation of drug addicts
What would be your advice to youngsters who want to make it big in the field
of modeling and movies? Any message to you fans.
Well 50% is hard work and 50% is your destiny.. We all come with a
dream to this industry but who has ‘Luck By Chance’ only they make it.
